5,000 JEWISH BABIES CAN’T BE WRONG
OyBaby LLC Hits Sales of 5,000 of its DVD, VHS, and CD
Products for Jewish Babies, Announces Plans for a Sequel
Mercer Island,
Washington (May 9, 2005) -- OyBaby LLC announced today that it has sold 5,000
units of its OyBaby™ DVD, VHS, and CD products. OyBaby launched in November,
2003 and has been steadily gaining sales through the word-of-mouth
recommendations of families and friends of Jewish babies everywhere. From Long
Island, New York to Texarkana, Texas, Jewish babies everywhere are clapping and
singing to the first video designed especially for them. OyBaby combines colorful imagery of Jewish
objects, children, puppets, and nature with fun and familiar Hebrew music that
both babies and grownups can enjoy.
“This product came out
of nowhere and became one of our top sellers,” says Barry Greenberg, owner of
Brochin’s Judaica store in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. “People buy it for their own kids, and come
back to buy it as a baby gift for friends.
I can tell from its word-of-mouth popularity, OyBaby has created
something that Jewish families really love.”
Encouraged by the
feedback of many of its customers, OyBaby also announced plans to create a
sequel to the product for release in Fall, 2005. They will be chronicling the development of
this sequel on a blog at their website: www.oybaby.com.
“I am humbled and
gratified that so many of our customers have e-mailed us to tell us how much
they enjoy OyBaby, and how they hope we make another. Well, 5,000 of these bubbelehs have
spoken, and we can’t wait to get back into the studio for OyBaby 2!” said Rob
Wolf, OyBaby Co-Founder. “The
Schneiderman Sisters will be back on vocals, as will many of the children that
appear in the original—they’ve grown up and are bringing their new brothers and
sisters along too!”
